About Singaporeans

Days was pretty peaceful n relax.. nice holiday.

Was at the food centre at serangoon gardens packing dinner. while waiting for my food, witness this really unpleasant sight. This indian cleaner was pushing the cart ard, collecting used food bowls. Was at e western food store where i was waiting at.. was another middle age man standing next to me. wouldn't ur instant reaction be to give way to the cart? this man actually reprimanded the indian man of being brainless. should haf gone e other way. he pointed his hand on his head n kept saying the indian man is stupid. indian man was smart to jus ignore him n walk away. but my heart goes out to him. come on.. its public holiday and this man is doing e public a service. why cant ppl jus be nicer to them? i stared with disgust.

in fact this aint e first time i witness such a sight. foreign workers are nothing lesser than any one along e street. yet when i see the way some ppl treat their maids worse than their dogs. disgust me. have u ever been to chinese restaurant n witness big family gatherings or parties n u see their maids standing next to e table serving their "masters".. plain bullshit i tell u. i've seen such sight almost every time i haf family dinners at chinese restaurant. i wonder if bringing their maids out was meant to show off their wealth.. such a pathetic sight..

of cos i've also seen my share of horrible maids n heard enough shocking stories abt them. 1 of my sister's fren recently moved into a landed property n got a new maid. neighbours feedback the maid was spotted washing the car NAKED in the front porch.. *feeling faint* how can anyone forget tat familiar sight or maids "walking dogs" n gathered somewhere to gossip n sometimes even haf drinks n picnics.. come to e park behind my house on weekend evenings.. n my personal experience of having a horrible maid kicking my beloved dog (then only a puppy) from upstairs, causing him a dislocated hip n crippled for life. guess God has his plans. i heard from my agent 2 yrs ago this same maid fell to her death while cleaning windows in her new employer's house. i wont say she deserve it. but definitely her bad deeds accumulated her karma.

i jus personally feel singaporeans r ALL very lucky. no matter u r sick or poor. we live in a secure country with state-of-the-art medical facilities, no natural disasters, no terrorism (till now).. living standards r indeed high. but i guess tat's e price to pay for e peace n security isn't it? this world needs more love.. should all be nicer with bigger hearts. know tat its our good fortune to be able to give. so if u r able to spare tat few pennies n make other's life better, why not??

anyway happy holidays everyone. it had been a short work week. spend more quality time with ur family esp ur parents...
